Friday, Jack had his 4 month check up! He is 17 lbs 3 oz and 26" long! He is getting to be SO big! He loves to stand, not sit... we got him a bebe pod, and had to return it because every time we sat him in it, he tried to stand up out of it!! Part of the 4 month mark, meant starting solids!! We tried for the first time some oatmeal cereal on Saturday, and he was a little interested at first, but then he decided he didn't like it and he didn't want any more!
Later that day, we tried rice cereal and he was a little bit better with it, but again, decided he didn't want any more.
Today, we tried some more rice cereal and he took a little bit more before he started to cry. He is getting a little better with each try, so we will keep it up!
Today is my first Mother's Day! First off, I want to say Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers in my life! Second, Ryan got me up at 7 am this morning after I was done feeding Jack and about to go back to sleep because he was too excited and couldn't wait to give me gifts! :) He is like a little kid sometimes!
I had beautiful flowers and 2 cards, 1 from him and 1 from Jack and Lucy!
Then when I was giving him a hug and telling him thank you for my flowers, he had me get something out of his pocket... a BEAUTIFUL garnet and diamond ring for my "Mother's Ring" since Jack was born in January! I love it!
Later, we took Lucy to the dog park and walked on a little trail by the beach. We went home (after picking up some diapers) to drop Lucy off, and then went to Bonefish for lunch! When we got back, we were sooo tired, and we all took a nap! It was a GREAT day!! :)
